Children's Ministries
Supporting families as they raise their children is important at Southdale. We have a full range of programs from nursery, Sunday School, Awana, Vacation Bible School, Youth Group and College and Careers.
Sunday School – Sunday @ 11:00 am
We are blessed by God to have a thriving and active Sunday School program for children. The Sunday School runs concurrently with the Family Bible Hour at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Your children will enjoy the music and learn important lessons and stories from the Bible. Classes are provided for children from age three to the eighth grade. Our goal is to train our kids in the knowledge of God and in the understanding of salvation offered through God’s Son.
AWANA for Children – Tuesday @ 6:30 pm
AWANA is for children age four to sixth grade. Activities include Bible lessons, Bible memory work, songs, games and lots of fun. It runs on Tuesday evenings, September through April, starting at 6:30PM. There are awards and prizes for Bible memory work. A highlight is the AWANA Grand Prix (kit car races) at the end of the year
Youth Group – Friday @ 7:00 pm
The goal of Southdale Youth is to help youth increase their knowledge and understanding of Bible truths and to apply these truths in every area and relationship of life.
This is accomplished through regular Bible Study, Social Activities, Conferences/Concerts, and Community Service. Join us on weekly on Friday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Social Activities are scheduled each month such as Laser Tag, Bowling, Tubing, Gym nights, Campfires. Youth Group is open to high school aged students.
College and Careers – Tuesday @ 7:00 pm
Our Young Adult ministry is for young men and women who have completed grade 12. Activities included Bible Study and social events.
